About Me

Hello, I’m Iman Waheed, a DigiPen student pursuing a Bachelor’s in Arts in Game Design. I have a wide variety of interests that range from animals, and astronomy to mythology, and art. I love reading and writing a lot about various topics.

My passion for games started when I was a child with Final Fantasy X (2001). Being exposed to such a well-constructed fantasy world with various climates and history in each land, and how that was woven into the game's narrative, left me in awe. The various secret treasures, mini-games, and obtainable aeons with their lore were so inspiring. Every character, whether main or NPC, stood out with their individuality and emotions. I remember being at the Calm Lands in the game and thinking how I wanted to create stories like this. How I wished to make those stories into games.

Ever since then, I held fast to the idea of studying design in games. This led me to learn more about history and cultures foreign to me—I even learned more about my own! As well as take an interest in psychology and creative writing. This led me from the deserts of Arizona to rainy Washington where I currently reside, attending DigiPen.

I currently live with my two dogs, Selene and Lucina
